How we work, what we will and will not publish
What we cite and what we do not
Every fact on this site that claims a specific number, date, or rule comes from one of three sources:
- The publisher's public help pages and product documentation.
- A national regulator or government source we can link to.
- An established news outlet reporting on a verifiable event.
We do not cite anonymous sources, fan blogs, or unverified social-media posts. If we cannot verify a fact, we say so plainly on the page.
How we handle errors
If we publish something that turns out to be wrong, we correct it on the same page and append a short note explaining what changed and when. We do not silently rewrite history. Each page has a "Last reviewed" date in the page banner so you can see how recently the editorial pass was run.
Affiliate disclosure
This site may receive compensation when readers follow links to a third-party fantasy comparison partner. That relationship does not influence the editorial content on any page. The disclosure appears in the footer of every page and on the partner link itself.
We do not sell or promote ESPN referral codes, welcome bonuses, deposit bonuses, or promo codes. We do not accept payment for favourable reviews.

The source ladder in detail
Every fact on this site that names a specific number, date, or rule traces back to one of four source types, ranked from most authoritative to least.
Tier 1 — Publisher's published materials
The publisher's help pages, product documentation, and contest rules are the most authoritative source for facts about the publisher's product. Every format availability, scoring default, and account-eligibility claim on this site traces back to these materials.
Tier 2 — National regulator or government source
For facts about jurisdiction, age requirements, and tax treatment, the relevant national or state-level regulator is the authoritative source. We link to the regulator's official publication where possible.
Tier 3 — Established news outlet
For facts about recent events (a publisher's new product launch, a regulatory change, a major contest outcome), we cite an established news outlet that has independently reported the event. We prefer outlets with editorial standards and corrections policies.
Tier 4 — Industry publication or expert
For facts about strategy, draft trends, or industry practice, we cite an industry publication or a recognised expert in the relevant field. The citation is included in the body of the article where space allows.
The source types we explicitly avoid
- Anonymous sources — we do not cite unnamed insiders, anonymous forum posts, or unattributed social-media claims.
- Fan blogs — we do not cite personal blogs, hobbyist wikis, or community forums. These can be useful for context but not for facts.
- Affiliate-marketing content — we do not cite reviews or comparisons published by sites that receive compensation from the products they review.
- AI-generated content — we do not cite content produced by an LLM unless the underlying source is independently verifiable.
If we cannot verify a fact from any of the four tiers above, we say so plainly on the page. We do not pretend to know what we do not know.
How we stay independent
The editorial desk is independent of any publisher, payment processor, affiliate network, or marketing organisation. The only commercial relationship on this site is a single disclosed affiliate link to a third-party fantasy comparison partner; the relationship does not influence editorial content.
What we accept
We accept advertising from no one. We accept sponsored content from no one. We accept payment for editorial coverage from no one. The only revenue on this site is the disclosed affiliate commission, which is paid by the partner only when a reader clicks the disclosed link and signs up.
What we refuse
We refuse payment for favourable reviews. We refuse payment for inclusion in editorial recommendations. We refuse payment for higher placement in the sitemap or homepage feed. The editorial decision on what to publish is independent of any commercial consideration.
How we use AI in our editorial workflow
We use AI tools in two ways: drafting assistance and image generation. AI does not make editorial decisions on this site.
Drafting assistance
We use a large language model to draft initial versions of editorial pages. Every draft is then reviewed and edited by a human editor before publication. The editor is responsible for accuracy, completeness, and editorial tone.
Image generation
The hero, safety-desk and other photographic images on this site are generated by an image-generation model commissioned by the editorial desk. We specify the composition, lighting, and grading; the model produces the asset. We review the asset for tonal quality, exposure, and the absence of AI artifacts before publication.
What AI does not do on this site
AI does not make editorial decisions. AI does not approve or reject articles. AI does not respond to reader enquiries. AI does not speak for the editorial desk in any external-facing context.
